How to choose her first birthday dress
A little help with her size, birthday plans, what comes with the dress and when to order.
For her first birthday, you’ll want a dress she can sit and move in, and time to try it on before the celebration. Start with her size and your plans for the day, then choose the colour and style you love.
Think about her birthday plans
Will she be sitting for photographs, crawling or taking a few steps? Picture how the skirt will fall as she moves. A full skirt can look lovely in birthday photographs, but the length matters too. If you love a dress with wings, a train or a big bow, check its photos and details to see what comes with it.

Check her size for the birthday
Start with how old she’ll be on her birthday. Then compare the chest, waist and length in the dress’s size chart with a dress that fits her well. Check both 9–12 and 12–18 months before choosing. Babies of the same age can need different sizes.
See our size chart in inches and centimetres. If her chest, waist and length don’t match one size, choose “Custom size” on the dress page and follow the instructions for measuring her body. Custom sizing is free, and the price is based on the closest chart size. Select her size to see the dress’s price before you add it to your cart.
Read the fabric and lining details
A dress can have a satin top, a tulle skirt or an organza layer, with a separate lining inside. Look at both the fabric you can see and the lining next to her skin. Check what is included
- Read the “Includes” line on the dress page for hairbands, bows or wings. Something worn in a photo may be there for styling.
- Shoes are not included.
- Check how to wash the dress before ordering, especially if you’re planning a cake smash.
When should you order?
We make her dress after you order. Making and delivery together usually take 12–14 days, with free delivery across India. Order with extra time to try it on before the birthday. Couriers can sometimes take longer, so this is an estimate.

If the fit needs adjusting
Try the dress on when it arrives. You can ask for one free size alteration within 3 days of delivery. Made-to-order dresses cannot be returned for a change of mind. Read the returns, alterations and cancellation policy before you order.
Ways to pay
You can choose cash on delivery or pay online. You’ll get an extra 10% off at checkout when you pay online. For cash on delivery, the advance paid at checkout is non-refundable. Check the amount before placing your order.
